    Listing fees are free for every auction without designated starting prices. For auctions with a seller-designated starting price that doesn't attract any bids, a 3.3% listing fee will apply. Buyer's Premiums start at 9.90% and can go as low as 4.95% (Tax incl.) based on your Membership status. Cardova Auctions will help you stay updated on the pulse of the market.

How to List an Item for Auction

There are two ways of listing an item for auction.

    Only Members are eligible to participate in the Auction. To become a Member, please click here.
    However, non-Members are free to view Auction Listings without restrictions.

  • Starting Price
    The starting bid for each auction LOT varies.
    There are no undisclosed minimum bid prices or a reserve.
    Any bid received at the starting price will entitle the bidder to a chance to win the LOT.
  • Buyer’s Premium
    The winning bidder will be charged a fee of 4.95% to 9.90% (incl. of taxes) of the winning bid price.
    In some cases, listing fees may also be charged to the seller.
  • Event Flow
    At Cardova, Auctions are held on a weekly basis. The auction typically starts at noon on Thursdays and runs for approximately 10 days, ending after Sunday evening of the following week.
    All items being auctioned start simultaneously, and The end timing varies for each auction LOT.

Preview Period Begins
During this period, bidders can review the lots that will be auctioned before the bidding period begins. Sellers are encouraged to conduct a comprehensive final review of their listed items, including images and detailed information.
Thursday - 12PM (JST)
(11 Day Period)
Opening of the Bidding Phase
Bids will be accepted from Thursday at 12PM (JST) until the end of the bidding period on the following Sunday. The Auction for an individual lot will only end at this time if no bids are received for that specific lot during the bidding period.
In a scenario where only one bid or no bids are submitted, the Auction will end as scheduled.
If two or more bids are submitted, the Auction will be enter the Overtime Period.

Overtime (OT) Period
If multiple bids are received before the end of the Bidding Period, the corresponding lot will not be closed, and the Auction will proceed to an Auction Extension. The Auction Extension typically continues until there are no new bids in each Overtime Round. The Auction Overtime will conclude when there are no bids and the time has expired, and the lot will be sold. As a result, the end time after entering the Auction Overtime will vary for each lot.

Extension Period
The Overtime Period (OT) will be held in accordance with the predefined Overtime Rounds listed in the table below. If new bids are placed within the allotted time of an existing Overtime Round, the Auction will be extended to the next round. Ultimately, the Overtime Period will continue repeating until no further bids are received.

During the Overtime Period, bidding remains open to all participants, similar to the regular bidding period. Even if a bidder decides not to bid during the Overtime Period, they can still participate in bidding as long as the Overtime Rounds are ongoing.
